Nuria, Alba and Marina: They did the oral presentation about the sitters Bennet, they comment the personalities and the physical description according to the film, about the five sisters and also spoken favourite sister of the story.
Laura: She did an oral presentation like Laia and me, she spoken about the differences between XIX century than XXI century, but she said that the pillars of our society and the other one of those century. And also how we, she did told the relation sheep.
David and Màrius: They spoke about the two men characters, Mr Bingley and Mr Darsy, also how Alba’s group spoke about they personality and the physical description and too explain they real live.
Jordi and Guillem: They did the oral about the main character Keira Knightley all of her live, and the films that she did. A thing that impression me that she has a problems for learn. This oral create a little conflict with we, the girls, because, I thing that Jordi and Güell choose this topic only for her body (it’s only a comment)
Romà: They oral presentation was about Rosamund Pike, in the film is Jane Bennet. I think that he chosed because get angry another time the girls of the class. An interesting thing that Jane was married with the director of Pride and Prejudice but before was with Mr Bingley.
Pascal: He didn’t spoke about the film, if not he did his oral presentation about Charlie Chaplin the best humorist of the world that has a complicated live. The oral was interested, because I didn’t know a lot of things about him, and also he did without PowerPoint and I understood all.
Angels and Dani: They had problems with the PowerPoint and they improvise, they spoke about the different humour, compare the Catalan and spanish humour between the American humour, and they put example like the Simpson and Friends, and APM and Aida. I learn some things because never I stop to think about the differences.

COMPUTERS HAVE MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE?
I believe that the computers are a great invent of our society, because with them we can do a lot of things. But, despite the fact that computers are very famous in our world, there were some negative consequences to use it.
On the one hand, with computers we can do a lot of things, and also when we speak about the computers we included internet. For example if we need information about a writer or a famous person, the most easy thing is go to internet and search information about it, and we mustn’t to go to the library or search in a encyclopedia that was more tired. Consequently with the internet we communicated with the other people, a good thing that is free, we don’t need the telephone.
On the other hand, with the computers we become lazier, this means that with them we do all, and we didn’t speak or search with the other people with the traditional things, like go to the home to our friends. And who I said before, with them we search the information in the computers and we didn’t go out home. We can stay all the day in front of the computer and don’t do anything more.

is humour necessary to survive?
Humours is the tendency that humans have when someon or sormeting cause to us smile or more a laughter.
I agree with the sentence because I think " what we do without humour?" the world will be sad, can you imagine? Can you think in a world when nobody laugh? Nobody know what it's a smile? All the face without wrinkle, because people said tha smile it's the guilty of the wrinkles. I can imagine this! I menan I not want to imagine this! This will be a horribel planet!
A part of this, for me humour and more exactly laug, it's a medicine for all, for example when somebody was sad, you want to do all because the other laguh or minimum simle a littel be. And a clear example it's a new method for cure, it's called the Laughter Therapy, this is a therapy when you are stress or nervous or angry or something like tihis, you read a joke or saw a funny thinks and I can assure that after you are going feel better and you will going thing positively.
Finally, I know a frase that can summarize this text: "With laugt you can express all", this means what wit humour you can do that the people feel any emotions, like of course happines, and also satisfaction, happu welfare, prosperity, and more. Maybe it's difficult that someon laugh when he's bad or sad, but with a littel of humour every body feel better.

She became famous, because it’s strange that a person how she was in this kind of programs, for this the before famous girl have jealous about Tracy. When arrives the day that the audience choose Miss Hairspray but Tracy didn’t wins, if not win a black-girl, but Amber von Tussle have a lot anger about her, and also it was discover that her mum, the director of the program did cheat, and she was seen how a very bad girl. The audience choose a black girl, but this is also estrange because in the 60’s the black class are saw how a poor class, and thanks of Tracy the black people are mix with the “normal” people.

My name is Mercè Bolasell, and I'm 16 years old. I live in Castelló d'Empúries with my parents and my dog, his name is Puc, I’ve a brother too but he’s 28, and he live in Platja d’Aro with his wife, she is Brazilian, they met when they are students in Madrid, and fell in love. My favorite sport is basketball, I love so much, I play for eight years ago... I hope that I can play more years, but not in the LEB league if not in a normal, I won’t like became famous and play with Barça, Penya or in a big club of women’s team. My favorite hobby apart of basketball its dancing, I dance in a group called “esbart de Castelló d’Empúries” with my friends, we do a dance of Catalonia and another countries, but isn’t the typical dance like sardana if not it’s different, I like it, because I dance for eleven years, maybe is so much but when I went to university I think that I will want to finish. I love watching tv, especially see films, for this my TDR, it’s based in films and genetic, this is two topics that I like it, well my TDR my work is watching films when the main charter have a genetic disease, and after discover which is this illness, for my it’s a very interesting topic and I think that I can do a good job. Final evaluation
Observing your portfolio, can you see an improvement on your level of Englis since September 2007? Where, for example?
Yes, I improve my level of English thanks the portfolio, for example now I use phrasal verbs and before I didn’t use, I thing that the phrasal verbs are a good things because everybody use it. And also now I don’t use so much the Word THAN,a girl Olivia, that she thing that she (She has a doppleganger?) well I use it, but not always than in September, because now I know when it’s possible to use and when no. And my first writing was words easiest and I spoke a littel be like a indian, with very easy verbs name is Mercè Bolasell, and I'm 15 years old. I live in (hello :) I'm... ), the typical verbs and easiest. And also a mistake in my oral presentation is that I put the verb stay, if not the verb be, it's a fault that in this therm I did to.. because I translate in catalan and I put stay instated of be, (In my first oral presentation, in class I said a lot of times I stay there with, I stay ...)
Wich activity best shows your level of English?
I think that the best activity for show our English it’s the oral presentation, because apart from speak in English, we must to search some new words, and chose words that everybody can understand, and you need to do a good structure because the people can understand you.
Which activites were really USEFUL for you to improve your English?
I think that are two activities for improve our English, one of this is in Aula d’Idiomes, because there you can do the things that you must more, reading, listening, speaking, in Aula d’idiomes we did all the things. And for improve, mainly, it’s the blog and portfolio because we learn new words, for things that we explain and normally this words we use in real live.
Wich activites did you not find useful to learn English? Why not?
Maybe the thing that is less useful for improve our English it’s the observation of the other oral presentations, because normally we listening, and if we writing some things we can lose the topic that the person explains.
Wich activites did you enjoy doing and would like to do agains next year?
The game are very funny and I like so much do it, and speak with Annika it’s interesting because we can practice our English with a people who lives in England, and we must to thing a lot, because she have understand us. And of course the computers it's a very good thing, and funny because there we improve a lot of thinks and we learn
3rd Oral Presentation
Our 3rd oral presentation I thing that it’s a little better than the others, because I didn’t put nervous, well maybe a bit, than the others, maybe because I have more experience and because this oral presentation in comparison with the first I did with Laia, and in pairs is better than alone. The second we did also in pairs but it was different, because the topic that we choose isn’t the best (for me), and maybe we didn’t chose the best country. And in the 3rd oral presentation the topic are interesting for Laia and me, because sometime (in class) we spoke about the problem of the education.
If I speak about the accent, well I recognize that my accent isn’t good, but I thing that I improve a little be, not a lot, but a bit yes. And also I improve my vocabulary , in the first oral presentation how was a topic about me, the vocabulary was easy and the majority of the words I knew, but now in the topic of the third term was more difficult, because some works that we didn’t know in English we must to learn an explain to the others pupils.
Maybe the thing that I didn’t improve was my body language, because I always move the hands, it’s “tic” that I do when I’m nervous, but I belive that the eye contact it’s better than the first, because in the first sometimes I looked the wall, and in the second one I looked a bit more the pupils and the teacher, althoyg in this I looked more the students.

Too much important is given to exams at school. Do you agree?
I agree with this sentence. Because normally the teachers given a lot of important to the exams.
In my opinion, in the school apart of the exams, the teachers have another marks of us, like homework or work in house, or maybe some compositions. As a result, we do and if the teacher didn’t use, we did extra work for “nothing”.
I also believe that you never can have a good day, and for example when day you’ve an exam and for many reasons, problems, illness... last night you can’t study a lot, and the day of the exam you don’t know anything or if you can study a little be was difficult to pass the exam. As well, in the exam you can get empty because you put nervous.
In conclusion, the exams isn’t the thing must important of our studies. To sum up, if our final mark depends only on the exams some of us can get a worse marks.

Hello everybody, as you know we are Mercè and Laia and fort he last oral presentation we have decided to choose an interesting topic because anyone have chosen it.
The mundial school level is the litle of our presentation.
Well, first, we want to give you some infromation about PISA that are the responsoble of the international evoluation.
Their work is to compare the academic results of the 15 years old students of differents countries about Maths, reading, sciences and problems resolutions and they classify the academic level between 1 to 6.
The countries that participated the last in 2006, were those that you can see
Now, let’s go to see the results that Catalonia had:
Catalans students have a three level of sciencies, so this results aren’t bad because they are on the average of the OCDE countries.
In Maths the level is acceptable, also with the three level, but the main problem is with the reading comprehension because Catalonia is over average this results as you can see are bad and we ask ourselves which are the causes.
David: Do you know which are the causes?
Well, one of the causes is the immigration, because a lot of studies that did the exams weren’t born in Spain and some of them have just arrived and they didn’t dominate the catalan and they didn’t arrive to the level.
An other cause that you can see in our highschool, is that in third ESO there are a lot of students repeating.
Also it is curious that if the parents have studied until to 14 years old and they have a good economy the sutudent has good marks.
In spite of that all countries have same conditions and so the governament is seardring the way to imporve the reading comprehension in catalan and is spanish and working to improve the level.
We think that the work of PISA is useful to help the countries to know if they education is good or bad like catalonia.
Nuria: Why do you choose arts batxillerat if not scientific batxillerat?
Well, she isn’t a strange case, because it cheek that the majority of girls are better on arts, reading that not on maths or chemical, this is more for boys. But every rule has his expiation and we are a exception. But if you look you can see that, for example, in this school, has more boys in scientific batxillerat that not in arts batxillerat, for something it must be not?
We also think that before they teach you less information but it was more important for life
And the last problem of our adolescent live, the university, it’s very difficult chose a degree when we only have 17 years old, and this degree it’s for all of our live. For this it has a very big percentage of boys and girls, that they left the degree on the first year, the reasons it’s always the same, because they think that the degree was a choose and result that is another completely different, maybe it’s a problem of information, or maybe that how a lot of people said that the degree on the first year it’s the worse. Well we expect that we can pas this to us!
Well, as we could be talking about this topic a lot of hours, we want that you think about this and in a future ewe hope that the problem will be resolved our oral presentation finishes here, we hope that you liked it and you have understood that also people who lives in the devoleped would need a change.

Chicken run
Ginger, Bunty, Babs y Fowler are four chickens closed in a forced labour: if she can’t lay eggs every day, her live run risk. Ginger and her companions have decided to run away of the farm, for this they use all the things that they have; they try to leave for example to disguise oneself with a rubbish, or they do a hole, but always the dogs and the farmer catch Ginger, and put her in a “jail”, well it’s a shed when Ginger always count the days that she passed there, and is two weeks. But one day, arrive to the farm a machine for to fie of chicken. In this day the last one of more of 1000 prisoners has returned to USA. The government must to pay 53 million Dolars for the ransom of this mean. Well, the country that we chose is Jamaica because we think that it’s a country that can interest to all the class. Ok, let’s start.
Jamaica it’s the third biggest island of Antilles. The Capital is Kingston that it’s the biggest commercial city. The official language is English but the Jamaicans spoke a local dialect which is a mixture of words in Spanish, African and French

Well, the country that we chose is Jamaica because we think that it’s a country that can interest to all the class. Ok, let’s start.
Jamaica it’s the third biggest island of Antilles. The Capital is Kingston that it’s the biggest commercial city. The official language is English but the Jamaicans spoke a local dialect which is a mixture of words in Spanish, African and French
The islanders are nice and friendly people and they love smiling. His economy is based on the fishing, the growing of pigs and the cultivation of their lands. They still follow the tradition of build their house with wood and paint the wall with shine colors. The music is in their blood, and they love dancing. The minimum musical sound in the distance takes them to it.
I’m sure that everybody sometimes have been listening about the (restafarismo), but I think that anybody know a lot about it. The (restafarismo) isn’t a religion, it’s is a culture, that was born in Jamaica, and it around all the Caribe and in the black communities of Gran Britain and USA. His culture is based on the bible.
For them, the (rasta) is a very important symbol and they respect it a lot,
The flag of the (rastafirs) is red, that means the blood spread of our brothers, the yellow the gold, the green it means the grow, and the black the colour of the skin of their brothers
Well now we speak about the music of Jamaica. Jamaica has different kinds of music like, ska, rocksteady, dub, dancehall, ragga y ragga jungle, and finally the most typical and that everybody knows is the REGGAE
The reggae is a derivation of ragga, that is an abbreviation of raggamuffin, in English his significate is harapiento. We use this label to descript the poor in Jamaica, and also the Rastas and cultural movements of the poor districts.
The name “reggay” his means is “regular”.
The most popular music is the reggae wich Bob Marley created, who did a culture, with his music. The first kind is ska where he was the father. Also, he create a band called: “The Skatalites”. Other oldest music on the island is Mento, the Ghost and Calypso.
The Reggae’s father is Bob Marley that you know. Bob Marley was a musician and member of Rastafari Moviment.
Their songs talk about peace and love, and whit their rhythm people fly and discover other fascinating worlds.
One of the best-known anecdotes about the Jamaica sport is the victory of his selection in the world championship bobsleigh, a winter sport.
Jake the other day said that Jamaica hasn’t got a good team of Football, but we say now, that in 1998 Jamaica went to World Cup of football, this it’s a great job, but they only got 3 points, and they can’t passed to the other round.
If you go to Jamaica don’t forget to eat the most famous lunch: “the rondón” and the “bushy” that is a very delicious drink but also is very strong, control because you can get drunk.

After we reading the book and after watching the film, we saw that the book and the film had a differences:

Well I think that this film it's a very importan and famous, in my opinion I think that it was better films than this, but well I liked to see it.

My cousin
MY COUSIN:
He’s Aleix is my cousin. Went he was born I went to the hospital to saw him, and my uncles said if I want to do bridesmaid, and of course I said yes!
He’s only 1 year but for his age he’s tall. He has a green and grey eyes, his eyes are strange, because went he stay in the shadow his eyes are dark green but went he stay in the sun his eyes are green-grey, a strange color that I never had seen. He’s blonde, it’s strange because all the family has dark hair, but I think that when he will be older his hair will change.
He is little, but this doesn’t mean that he hasn’t got a character. He is very nice, when someone go to him they always smile, although when he has bad humor, it’s terrible because he starts to put bad faces and crying, and nobody can catch him. Also he has a strongly character, because if you did something that he didn’t like he always start “speaking” he said “eh eh”, but not whit a nice voice if not with a strongly voice. Sometimes he has two-faced, because a part that he is a nice baby, he sometimes search the people for lunch or dinner, for the food, he is intelligent for this, and for other things. How he is a baby he is a naughty, he loves playing whit “lego”, and always went I finished to do a house he just destroyed it.
He is my first little cousin, my other cousin are older than me, for this I considerate that he is a treasure, maybe are my imaginations, but sometimes when I was sad, he came to me and he sits in my legs, and he huge me or sometimes he does the clown! It’s very nice! Maybe he does involuntary, but this thing do that day by day I love him much, because I must to say that first of all, I thought that he was a “silly” baby, because everybody do more case, maybe are the jealous, but now I don’t think so and I think that it’s the best cousin that someone can has.
